Annamaya Kosha & Earth

Most often we hear this to be taken literally as in what we eat. Nutrition is only a supplement. 

Take it a step further and consider your experience of that. What was your mood like? Were you distracted, rushing, working, standing even? 

What would it be like to sit and eat like sipping tea and indulging in every bite. 

Like good food that taste like home it is an embedded feeling. 

Beyond indoctrinated graces, what is it like to appreciate our food and to appreciate its journey to you and through you. 


Consider for a moment that the brain does not discriminate in digestion, be it favorite food or food for thought or experience.

Consider that, in the mind and on an EEG scan visual, portions of the sensory brain become active when certain stimuli is not physically present but simply mentioned or remembered. 

Consider also, that if the brain fires then hormones will also fire and chemicals released with a joyful snacking or chemicals released during a guilt ridden dalliance with a sweet treat are released as if the stimuli was present. 

Consider laughter, humor, gratitude, and fulfillment before eating or drinking again and the hormones or memories attached.

Consider also, that the root cause of strained relationships with food is, just that- a relationship. Addiction or abuse therapies falter at giving us the language or tools to identify or nurture the underlying emotional needs seeking nourishment in misidentification. It affects the way we love ourselves but also how we love others.  In even thanking your food may you find community and connection and belonging in your body and its nourishments. 

Beyond dictation of diet or supplement or management, consider all information available and how the body is digesting- more specifically integrating. This also applies to our hydration, as it literally builds the flesh. 


Did you know that the cellular memory of blood and plasma in meat (but also a key component in pharmaceuticals) has been linked to chronic pain because of the trauma attached. (I must clarify not that I’m starkly against anything, but imagine a world with less permissible side effects…)Very literally, the face identification technology that binds your phone to you was previously used on livestock to discern if they were happy or building relationships as it meant for higher quality product.

Our intake, our fueling, yes; but what a shallow grave these things rise from. The Annamaya Kosha is also so literal and so beyond. You are and are not. 

If i were to loose my eyes would I be any less a seer? No, 

if you were to lose a member would you be any less…you? The Spirit would persist.

That is not to disregard the healing process of trauma or adjustments to an incident but that is to call into question just how much of our life is worth living save for a few more pounds of flesh? Consider it more about your quality of relationship to, and that your arangement of atoms is consequential, much like the brain can have a relationship with a phantom limb or prosthesis can wire remotely


Did you know revered skills like synesthesia were once deemed schizoaffective and are now labeled much more commonplace. The creative phenomena of seeing a face amongst the trees may have once been called the same but was assimilated, 

I theorize to make room for a narrative that can effectively hide the violent outbursts of ego- death reenactment and it’s lawsuits or the particularly hallucinatory disadvantage that some see genitals where a face ought to be. 

I’d venture so far as to say that proves verifiable as degenerative disease and psychosis ravages even our least populous dominant “white” relatives now. 

Quantity or Status does not satiate or nurture spiritual need. 

You are not your body. 

You are not -just- your body. 


Who are you beyond the sensations, shapes and limitations of this body and what remains when you stop identifying with it?


I think this also beckons us to bring awareness beyond substance and into presence in Land acknowledgement in body and mind, local and non local in many senses:sensi of the word. 

What resources are at your fingertips? What resources are close to home?

It comes in many forms and can reward at every hidden turn.
